Do all ps3 play blu ray movies?

May be...
  • im trying to buy a ps3 but theres alot of diffrent ones from 20gb to 160 gb and diffrent models so im like confused
  • Yes, ofcourse, they all do! :D

The only difference between the 20GB or the 60GB is the Hard Disk Space, which means how big is the Hard drive.

the older 60Gb and the 80Gbs had a ps2 chip which allowed you to play ps2 games, but now they removed to it reduce production cost..

But DON'T WORRY.. all ps3's play ps1 games.

But if you buy an NTSC ps3.. then you can only play NTSC blu-ray movies or ps1 games. Since they're region coded.. bu the ps3 games are region free which means it can be played on ANY ps3 console.. either NTSC or PAL!
  • yes, but you NEED a hdtv to be able to see them if not they appear black and white :O it's like a time machine! lol

i watched "I am legend" in black and white because it came free

oh well, but yes they all play them and all play in black and white if on standard tv you require hd tv and a HDMI plug i belive:)
  • yea the discs the games use are blu-ray so most definitley
