How do I switch my dual shock ps3 controller to different ps3?

I have two ps3 systems and just wondering how to switch my controllers from one ps3 to the next because when i try to make them work for the new one, they don't do anything?

Plug the PS3 controller (DualShock or Sixaxis, doesn't matter) into the PS3 you desire it to function on while the PS3 is off. Then, turn the system on with the front panel. When the system is on, push the home button on the PS3 controller, keeping it plugged in until it "reassigns" itself to the other system. There you go!

plug the controler in to the console you want to use it in with the charging cable and press the ps butten it works with both controlers (dualshock, six axis)

connect your ps3 controller to the ps3 system you want it on with the usb cord and then press the PS button on the ps3 controller.

connect it with the usb and press the ps button on the ps3 your trying to connect to
