PS3 Disc Stuck PLEASE HELP!?

May be...

okay so my sonic disc got jammed in my ps3, it would unmount but stay in the console, so after an hour of fidling i used a paper clip to get the disk out.



now, im not sure if it was the disc or the ps3 because



1. its a used game from a rental store(rogers) and i peeled off the sticky tapr ring near the center so theres a residue of tape left. but idk if that would cause anything.



2. i have ejected the disc before



3. i can now enter and eject discs okay now.



im just really worried cause i never force the disch,smack it in or anything.

some thing must have gotten in the disk drive while u put the disk on the disk drive

Try this !



1. Touch the eject button on the PLAYSTATION 3 system front for 10 seconds or longer to force the disc to eject. After removing and before reinserting a disc into the PLAYSTATION 3, turn off the system, and then turn on the system again to resume use.



2. If the disc cannot be inserted, you may need to send your system in for service, please click on the service link below.



3. Under no circumstances do we recommend you open the PLAYSTATION 3 to remove the disc yourself. Doing so will void the warranty and the PLAYSTATION 3 may not be accepted for service. If the stuck disc is a rental, we recommend notifying the rental store that the disc is stuck.



If this doesn't work you'll need to call Sony at 1-800-345-7669 !

i suggest you call sony and ask them what kind of damage that can cause...



and if your system fails i would tell rogers that the sticker they put on the games screwed up your console and that they better reimburse you for whatever you have to pay to get fixed... so if you do send it to sony make sure you get some sort of receipt...



oh and when you go into rogers make sure that you immediately ask for the manager... and if they say something like "he's busy" or "on lunch" make it clear to them that you don't care what he's doing and that he better come out and listen to you...



all i can say is fight till the end because this should never happen... i actually never rent games because of that sole reason of the sticker being there and screwing up my console
