Is this a good Bargain for a PS3?

May be...

I'm recently in the market for a ps3 and my uncle met this guy @ future shop a while back and has been giving my uncle discounts on a tonne of stuff ever since. But yesterday my uncle went 2 future shop and told me this :



PS3 80GB Console ->350.00



Extra Dualshock 3 Controller 0.00 (54.99)



HDMI and USB Cable Pack (SONY) 0.00 (69.99)



3-Year Warrenty 89.99 (Futureshop PSP)



Fight Night Round 4 35.00



The only thing is i have 2 buy the warranty to get all those other things and i'm wondering if this is a good deal because I am putting quite a lot of money down here also should i wait for a Supposed PS3 Price drop in August?

The Sony Cable pack is kind of a ripoff since the PS3 should already have a USB cable with it and you shouldn't have to pay more than $20 for an HDMI cable at a retail store (its even cheaper online).



If you got all the items separately and went looking for the best deal on cables instead of getting the Sony package, you'd spend about $30-$40 more. And no, the Sony cables don't offer anything the cheaper ones don't.



I would see what the conditions are for the warranty. Most extended warranties aren't that great and are a waste of money. Also, I don't understand why you have to buy the warranty to get this deal.



Is it a good bargain? Kind of. You're getting some free stuff at the expense of a warranty that may be worthless. If you consider that a bargain or you're desperate to save $40, go for it.



I would not wait for the price cut. Sony has not confirmed there is even gonna be a price cut and I don't think the cut will be much since the PS3 has not given Sony a profit yet.



Also, the PS3 Dualshock is 54.99 + tax at retail stores. And every Sony PS3 controller has SIXAXIS. Regular SIXAXIS controllers aren't even sold in stores anymore.

k look if u buy a ps3 u will have free online but alot of problems and u will have to deal with sony trust me i know.



if u get a xbox 360 way better games, better online, and more cheaper then ps3 but it could get the three red rings of death.

i recommend that you find an original ps3, they have more features.

The Dual shock controller isn't worth 54.99, its the old one. You want the six-axis controller, $50. A 90 dollar warranty is unneeded, they have factory warranties and Future shop would screw you on it anyway. I don't know about a price drop but I can't imagine it to be any less than 40 maybe 50 bucks, but 350 is already down from 399.99. The guy at future shop works on commission, he makes more money for pushing the store warranty, those prices are what they cost anyway. Don't do it. Good Luck either way and don't buy an xbox.
