What is the point of getting a PS3?

Most good PS3 games are on the Xbox 360 anyway, and the Xbox 360 is cheaper.

There is none. Trust me - I have one.

It really depends on who you're asking. You can ask a PS3 fanboy, and they'll give you all kinds of positve reasons. You can as a xbox 360 fanboy, and they'll give you all kinds of negative reasons. Then you can ask someone like me, a gamer. The point of me getting it, is to use it to play video games, just like my other gaming systems, the xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, PSP, and a Nintendo DS.

PS3 it has the most exclusive games this year after watching E3 09 it has like MAG,uncharted 2, god of war 3,heavy rain and so many more.

most good 360 games are on PC anyway, and almost everyone has a PC like YOU

At first the Xbox 360 does seem to be cheaper and better but that only lasts for a short time. Red Rings Of Death start happening and 39% of 360s break down compared to only 2% on PS3. PS3 has blu-ray meaning that the game quality is better than the dvd disks the 360 games are on. The level of technology the 360 uses is about the same as the PS2 as that used dvds as well.



Online is free for PS3 while you have to pay for xbox live, upgrading your hard drive costs loads and microsoft only allows microsoft accesories to be used so headsets are more expensive and the controllers aren't as good as the PS3 either coz they run on AA batteries or are wired unlike the PS3 which uses wireless controllers that have an internal battery that can be recharged. PS3 also has an internet browser and a wireless built into it which the 360 don't.

Other than the fact the PS3 has some good exclusive games coming in a few months, there's no real reason to fork over that much money for a gaming console. I bought the 60GB at launch and I've been wholly disappointed with the games available so far !





I never had any regrets buying my PS1 and PS2 consoles but Sony has dropped the ball on the PS3 in more ways than one !

Look. The cheapest PS3 is $399. The Cheapest Xbox is $199.

Xbox 360: 256 MB card, No wifi, no BluRay, Free Xbox Live Silver, Pay for Gold, and about a baker's dozen of Halo titles.



You'll spend $100 on an 60 GB HDD, Another $100 for the wireless adaptor and you can pay $50 per year to kill people in all the Halo games.



So, in order to do the same things, you have to spend $450 on a Xbox, or $400 on a PS3. And the PS3 can still do more.

Free online, Plays blueray, connects to a portable device to it can send data to your psp. Has internet on it so you can surf the web on your TV. Has a chat device so you can have a avatar and talk to people. Those are some features.



(I'm not like some people you might get comments from who only support one system. I own both I enjoy both. But what just happen was my membership ran out so I can't play any of my game online like Gears of War or Left 4 Dead which have modes meant for co-op. So i hope my opinion helped you on you question on which you like better)

the best PS3 games aren't on the 360. The best 360 games, mass effect apart, are on the PS3. The PS3 is a more durable and versatile piece of kit and includes in the box a load of stuff you'd need to pay extra for if brought a 360.

plus its 2009-2010 game lineup is very strong

free online play which improves all the time with firmwares

sony has very good engineers so all peripherals are of a top quality

plus its a very good media hub and can use non sony accesories, plus hdd can go up to 500gb

None. I have a PS3 and I don't really like it. That's why I'm getting an Xbox 360 for my Birthday next month.
