Would This PS3 Point Be Good For An Argument?

May be...

okay so people always say the 360 is better than ps3 cause it sales are almost double.

but does this make sense like saying a mercedes sells less than a ford, but doesnt mean its worse than a ford.



or lamborghini to chevrolet etc,etc...

--These figures are for North America, and if these figures are true, than that is a little impressive. I say a little because the PS3 doesn't have a crap base model that has nothing. If Sony really wanted to win with consoles sales, they would come out with a crap base model, but then people would complain. They already complain about not having backward compatibility. Also, the Xbox is nearly peaked out, while the PS3 is maybe half way there.

--The 360 came out a year before the PS3, and it has only sold one million more units? That is a sad figure, when you think about the high cost of the PS3. Again, these are Micro$oft numbers, so I'm sure they have been inflated.



The industry goes how Japan goes, and the Wii was #1 in Japan for a long time, which showed with sales, followed by the 360, with the PS3 in third. The PS3 has now become the #1 selling console in Japan, and it is speculated that the PS3 will be the #1 selling unit by the end of the year, or into the 1st quarter of next year.



When it gets down to it, why does it matter which one is "better". It has been proven the PS3 has better graphics, better hardware, and better "bang for the buck", while the 360 has better online. When it gets down to it, the 360 has Halo, which I could care less about, and the PS3 has Metal Gear Solid and God of War, which I love. Put those on the 360, and I'm getting a 360.



Buy the console for the games you love, or both if you love both consoles exclusives. Just because I love Fords and own nothing but Fords, doesn't mean I don't want a Lamborghini.

No that is a stupid argument. I have an Xbox 360, but that is just my preference. The reason I think the Xbox 360 sells more is because of the Halo series and its cheaper price tag. Also it is heavily marketed. When Halo 3 was coming out I saw commercials for it at the movie theater. PlayStation 3 has fewer commercials for its exclusive games so it does not help its marketing campaign. I guess you could compare them according to their failure rates. The Xbox 360 has the Red Ring of Death problems, so that hurts it. However my friends PlayStation 3 had a disk reading error which cost him a lot to fix so I guess the PS3 is not error proof either.. Each has its problems so it would be hard to say which one is better.

LOOK THIS IS MY OPINION WILL ALWAYS BE UNTIL WHATEVER 360 COMES OUT I HAVE OWNED EVERY SYSTEM BUT I ONLY USE THE PS3

Where did the "double the sales" come from? The xbox can be purchased for half the price of a PS3, yet PS3 is keeping up with it in sales. 360 has around 31 mil units sold, PS3 is like 22 or 23 mil.
