The game Warhawk doesn't work on my PS3? How do I fix it?

i just bought it brand new and when I put into the system it started downloading some game update. i thought this is natural and let it be. i have tried to start the game 10 times and the screen just goes black and i cannot quit the game and go back to the xmb menu. i have to turn the system off and start it over again. but when i try turning it off from the front it makes a beeping sound and takes longer than usual to turn off. i think that means there is an error but i'm not sure. the system detects warhawk fine but when i start the game it freezes into a black screen. please help!!! the controller has been giving me some problems lately when i press the center ps button it freezes. is something wrong with the game, system, or the controller? 10 points 5 star to best answer!!!!!

does it start downloading the patch or did u turn of the ps3 in the middle of the install and corrupted the data, the control is probably broken happened to mine

Does the XMB work normally without Warhawk running?



If so, go on the XMB to the game data folder (under Games). Delete the Warhawk patch data by pressing triangle, and delete the 800mb Warhawk installs. Then reinstall Warhawk, connect to the internet, and download the 1.2 patch.

Does it start downloading and get to like 4 or something? That happen to me and I just hooked up my ethernet cable instead of running wireless and it worked.
