GTA 4 glitch help for PS3?

May be...

Ok, I have been playing gta for a couple weeks now and there have been zero problems. Today, I started the Deconstruction for Beginners mission. After killing the other 3 snipers I pressed start to pause it. Immediantly, my screen went completely black. I turned off the PS3 and tried to restart the PS3. GTA4 wasnt even on the menu in the "games" column. WTF...?



PS: i got the 1.1 update.

same thing happened to me last night i was so pissed. Same level too. I have been looking around today apparently these errors are due to the game trying to connect online. Someone said if you disconnect from the internet, then reset the system and try to play it will work. I will be trying this soon after i get home.
