Help with my ps3?

everytime i go to load a game it just shows a black screen and nothing happens. first my rock band wouldnt play then cod4 wouldnt and now skate wont. before this happend i was cleaning it, i had a damp cloth and rubbed it across the dront where the buttons are then i dryed it off real fast. and then i transfered it to my living room, when i was hooking it up i had it tilted when i was plugging it in. did i do something wrong? im really pissed because the whole reason i got a ps3 was because my 360 had the same problem. what are some tricks or anything that i could try?

hum from ur problem u may have a freeze screen this means somewhere u did something wrong and it freezes ur screen what u can do is reset ur ps3. turn it off then on and hold the power until u hear 2 beeps. that should reset ur software and just to be safe after that go to setting then backup utility then ps3 recovery and full format. email me if u got problems

It's most likely your TV if it happened to both systems, check you AV/HDMI/Composite cables. They might not be connected properly. If that doesn't work. Just ask for a swap, if your guarantee is still in check
