Is the playstation 3 good?

May be...

should i get a playstation 3?Is it overrated?I've got a 360 and id like to have the "other" next gen console.I heard its realy good i also am excited for metal gear solid i dont know what the games about but you can do lots of stuff and i played a demo of the 2nd metal gear solid on the ps2 and its awesome.Also cant wait to get God of war 3, but i smetal gear solid 4 any good??Please i need honest answers from someone who actually "has" or "played" a ps3 before....

Actually the fact that the PS3 online is free is because the developers use their own servers.So the PSN is actually less laggy then Xbox live. Xbox live is down 20% of the time sometimes. PSN is down less than 2% at the same time.

And there are actually about a million less people on PSN, but does it really matter since I don't think any games support a million people at once. Trust me, you will always find people. Unless your playing a horrible game no one else has.

AS OF NOW the 360 and PS3 graphics are exactly the same. But ge tthis. With gears of war 2, the 360 tops out all its graphical potential.



Metal Gear Solid 4 looks the same in terms of graphics, but has only used about 40% of the potential. So yes, in time (say, a year) the PS3's graphics will be years ahead.

Its sweet. Its the only machine next to my cable box that i have/need in my livingroom/bedroom. I recommend it. Especially with whats coming this year/beginning of next year.

Blu-ray=New format for high definition movies and games,The dual layer disks hold 50gb of information. it also plays regular dvds and pretty much every other format.

Playstation 3 has 3 times the memory of the xbox. xbox may have more games but that is only because it was released much earlier on. Playstation 3 is obviously viewed as the top gaming console by many brands such as Konami. It released what was undoubtedly the greatest game ever only on the Playstation 3 and not xbox. God of War 3 will only be on Playstation 3. Playstation 3 has free online capabilities and has better graphics than xbox. Playstation 3 has blue ray which Xbox could only dream of having!

The PS3 is well worth it but if you already have a 360 i would not waste the money but if you really want a PS3 i would sell your 360 because in my opinion you dont need both and if you want 2 next gen consoles it should be a PS3 and a Wii

the ps3 is more than good,its great!free online,cheaper than the 360(if the 360 owner wants the same capabilities as the ps3)and its games are the best.360 may have more games but only a few select games are worth playing.

YES, the PS3 is definently the BEST gaming console out yet! I have one and it is sick!!! The graphics are insane and the games r awesome! The PS3 has wifi wireless internet built in! It has a playstation store to buy games, game demos and more! They r coming out this year with Playstation Home! It's a virtual life game that is the most realistic ever and it's free at the playstation store! Also PS3 has online play in almost every game out! I have Metal Gear Solid 4 on my PS3! It is the best game I have ever played!!! Also Grand Theft Auto 4 is an AWESOME GAME!!! I have never played God of War 3 but it looks good too!

So overall I would say the PS3 is the Definite BEST and u should get it for sure!!!!!!!!!!

i swear to god if one more person mentions free online play i will go beserk. anyways, Yes it is a great sysytem. the 360 and PS3 have it's pros and cons so it is really stupid to try to compare them. Xbox has the good games and Xbox live (which is a measley 5 dollars a month,so PS3 fangirls need to stop being cheapskates) and of course way more choices on the marketplace. the PS3 has MGS 4, many other good games, the blu-ray player thingy, and of course sixaxis. (the online is s-h-i-t) compared to Xbox live as it has no movies, achievements, and the lag is unbearable) both have strengths and weaknesses. Don't listen to that PS3 fangirl has Nikko Bellic as his picture. It all comes down to price. since my TV is only 20 inches i don't need the blu-ray player as it is jsut a fancy movie player with a lot of space... the 360 does not die as often as it used to, but there is still that risk. it simply comes down to funds. do you want a better gaming experiance with WAY better online but the risk of system failure? or do you want terrible online (that's why it's free) hardly any exclusives (but they are good) and nothing but "were gonna have this and that" instead of "we have this and that" plus a nice blu-ray player to go with it.



both are great at their own things. don't compare them. they are both damn fine machines with flaws.
