Are the dual Shock three controllers the same as the six axis controllers for the PS3?

Im just wondering because im buying a PS3 so I want to knwo if they are both on the one controller or if they arnt two diffrent types of controllers

This is the exact difference between them. The Dualshock 3 is a different and better controller overall. It is heavier than the Sixaxis, which makes it feel more comfortable, it has the vibration feature, which is great, and then the analog sticks are more responsive on it. I would highly suggest buying Dualshock 3 controllers. Btw, the Dualshock 3 HAS motion sensitivity too, and the vibration is perfectly balanced on it, so there is no interference.

The Dual Shock is different. The dual shock has vibration on each sides handle on the controller. The six axis is used for motions. The Six axis is a controller you can use like a steering wheel. You turn it left, the car turns left on supported games. Also, if you play ace combat for ps3, you can fly the plane with it



Dualshock is not supported with six axis because when the controller rumbles it moves the six axis base, which is bad.



I suggest getting a Dual Shock, cause in those intense moments, you want to feel the rumble to bump it up a notch.

Both controllers have sixaxis motion sensing. The only difference is that the dualshock 3 has vibration as well, which makes it heavier. And the dualshock 3 is slightly bigger than the sixaxis, I know because i've lined them up next to each other and the dualshock looked bigger

They are basically the same, but the dual shock has a rumble feature, the sixaxis doesn't. So the dual shock is the better controller.

Basically SIXAXIS and DS3 are the same except that DS3 has rumble feature.

dualshock vibrates and the original controller doesnt
