yep its true, 80gigs are now 399 cuz sony is 3.5 billion dollars in the red and they want to sell as much as they can in the next 10 years so they actually might turn a profit on the ps3

i knew it sony just made this move to fool people into thinking they r selling the current 80gb ps3 with backwards capability for the ps2 for only $400

no there discontinuing the 40gb ps3 and replacing it with a 80gb core pack which will have all the same features as the 40gb but will have 80gb of space for 399.99, which means no it cant play ps2 games cuz it has the same features as the 40gb, but they stilll will have the other 80gb ps3 that can play ps2 games and all the extra stuff
