Ps3 warrenty void question?

if i just take off the playstion 3 logo plate and spray paint it without going over the logo is it voided

it shouldnt void it hopefully if you only did the face plate and let it dry before you put it back on

possibly. the paint contains chemicals that can harm/corrode the components inside the PS3. Even if you are just spraying the outside, paint dusts/mist can still find their way inside. Sony can use this excuse to void your warranty. PS3 warranty only applies to un-tampered units. Tampering includes everything including painting.
