Will PS3 guitars work with PS2 Guitar Hero games on the PS3?

The PS3 I have is a first generation system with the "Emotion Engine" hardware driven backwards compatibility. No, the wireless Les Paul controller for the PS3 will not work with older PS2 Guitar Hero games on the PS3.
You can however get this adapter and use a PS2 guitar controller so you can play GH1 on your PS3. Unfortunately, it doesn't say anything about GH2.
