yes and no. if its backwards compatible, then yes. otherwise no. the ps3 models that came out in 2007 are backwards compatible while models later than that are not. so, if you bought the ps3 After 2007, then you cannot play ps2 games with it.

You can in theory. However,in an effort to cut cost Sony use software emulation to allow backwards compatibility on the ps3. I personally have had a lot of crashes with ps2 games on the ps3.

yes I do it all the time because the ps3 games are sooo expensive

not no more the ones on the market right now dont have backwards compadibilty but the older ones to so ig u want one that cab okay ps2 games u could buy one used at gamestop
