Fifa 09 Online help. . . . .?

me and my brother want to play fifa 09 online on the same ps3 but each time the game starts he's the only one that can move the player and i can't do anything. So how do i join a game? Do i have to press a button to join in the game?

when you are playing online when chosing teams part tell player 2 to press triangle (green) so then he can be guest

now enjoy playing 2 players online against another person or 2 or 3or 4 ......... 7
