Quick playstation 3 question. First to answer gets 10?

May be...
  • i usually have it hooked up to an HDTV, but now it wont work on my normal television. any ideas?
  • Here's a neat trick.

Disconnect all the wires from the back of the Ps3 except for the power plugin wire.

Turn on your tv and ready the video wires that u desire to use.

Hold down on the ps3 power button until you hear the ps3 beeps.

This will reset the video settings and start auto-detecting the input.

Plug in your video wires and wait for awhile until your tv confirms what input you want to use.

    Hopefully it works for you.
  • you have to change the settings while your on the hdtv (you can do it on the regular tv, but you wont have a screen to see it so it may be tough). the other possibility is to hold down the power button on the console. if it beeps three times, video settings are reset. this doesnt seem to work for me, so ill tell you about the other one. on your hdtv, plug both the hdmi cable in and the rca cables in. go to the display settings on the main menu of your ps3. change it from hdmi to the rca cables (they have diagrams). the screen should go black. now change the tv 'channel' to how you would view your ps3 as if you were playing with the rca cables. accept the changes and your set. when you bring it back to your hdtv, the tv and ps3 will recognize the hdmi cord and ask you to change it from rca to hdmi right then and there, but it doesnt work the other way around. you have to do it manually
  • have you looked around to any forums or faqs?because im not sure because I used mine on an HDTV and then hooked it up to my crappy 1997 tv and it works fine
  • Take the settings off of HD to a regular TV setting
