PS3 Home Question.................

Hi I just got the 80Gb Ps3 and I dont like Home to much and I am tempted to delete it but where can i find it to re-install it if i want it sometime later on.....

As the others have said, you can delete it but the icon won't go away. To reinstall, just click the Home icon and it'll re-download it.



If you're concerned about the space that it's taking up, then you might want to have a look at System Information (under Settings) to see how much free space you have on your hard drive.



Probably it'll take you awhile to reach 80GB, but you have the option of buying a laptop hard drive (up to 500GB currently) and replacing the 80GB with that (easy 1 minute job and the steps to do it are in the PS3 instruction manual). I did this and I have downloaded every demo ever released in the PlayStation Store and I still haven't filled the drive.

i had the same exact question. you can delete it, and if you want to reinstall it, just click on thePS3 Home icon under playstation network to install it again because it does not disappear when you delete it.

The Home icon never disappears regardless if its actually installed or not. When you are ready to reinstall simply click on the icon and you are taken through the setup process.

if your gonna want it sometime later don't delete it. it's time consuming to delete then reinstall it
