What do i do if my internet connection on my playstation is not working?

May be...

Whenever I try to long onto Playstation Network, it allways says, " An error occurred during communication with the server. This is a DNS error.(80710102)". I have tried many times restarting my router(or my Modem, i only have one and i don't know what it is). I have searched Yahoo! Answers hundreds of times and tried everything, but it still doesn't work. Please help me. I have all my information. When i test the connection, it obtains my IP address but fails at internet connection. I have a 2701HG-E gateway from 2wire. I know that that is not the problem though because my friend has the exact same one and his works. Please help me, I will give best answer to someone and thumbs up for everyone who tries to help. Thanks!
