2)As I said, ALL PS3 games are Region FREE.
3)Again, YES, everything works.
4)NO... Blu-Rays unlike Games won't work. UK lands in Region B (Europe) whereas US lands in Region A (US and Japan).... If you have bought a PS3 from Europe, then it won't play US Blu-Ray... However, PS3 Blu-Ray games are Region Free.
5)....
6)Some Blu-Rays are Region FREE... Look at the back of the box.... As I said, your PS3 is Region B... Look at the caption behind the box and it should show you the region compatibility. If the Blu-Ray is Region Free, then it will show A,B,C(C-Australia,India and Rest) written behind it... If it's Region locked, then it will have A written behind it (since you are in US).

2. No. See links for info.
3. Guess & check method. See links for info.
4. Not every single one. Many do, though.
5. Check for region code and lists online.
6. You need to find lists online as there are many.
All PS3 games are region free. The problem that may be confusing you is whether the American games work with the PAL SD video format. This is all about the Standard Definition video formats used by both countries and not related to region compatibility. It only becomes an issue if you are not using HDMI on an HDTV. US games use NTSC instead of PAL. Most work with PAL, but some do not (mainly older PS3 titles). Refer to the links below if you are using a regular TV with your PS3:

PS3 games don't say whether they support one or both, which is why these lists exist, becasue guess & check is the only way to know for sure.
If you are using HDMI with an HDTV, then you can disregard all the PAL/NTSC stuff as every single game will work in that case.
As for Blu-Ray movies, contrary to what most say, most are in fact region free (meaning they will work anywhere) but some are not. You'll have to find lists online on what movies have region codes and what don't. Try to find as many lists as possible because even some Blu-Ray movies with region coding have been known to still work worldwide. I can tell you right now that "The Dark Knight" is a region free Blu-Ray movie, it has no region code on the box.
